Major food manufacturer located in Queens, NY is looking for an Inventory Specialist/Buyer to join Purchasing Team. Minimum of at least 3 years exp. Individual must be highly motivated, self starter and dedicated. Should have good follow-up skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
Some of the job responsibilities are listed below, but not limited to the below:
• Identify and communicate overstock & understock
• Identify and communicate non adherence to FIFO procedures an ensure action when not being followed
• Utilize & pursue all outlets for overstock sales
• Monitor adherence to product specifications
• Improve current inventory paperwork & format
• Create aging report and monitor daily
• Manage month end inventory
• Evaluate and value month end inventory
• Monthly Inventory Report
• Monthly Overstock Report
• Reorganize warehouse and storage of raw materials in all locations
• Create slotting system
• Train warehouse employees on requisitioning and storing inventory
• Provide daily update
• Creation of daily purchase orders
• Daily vendor relations
• Credits & returns
• Price discrepancies
• Price research
• Daily pricing & bid analysis
• Item price authorization
